Police said a 50-year-old man died after his vehicle plunged off the notorious Voëlklip cliff on Thursday afternoon.

Jo-Anne Lourens (57), who was reported missing, was killed when her vehicle recently went over the notorious Voëlklip cliff.

Police said they are investigating the recent accident at Voëlklip in which 33-year-old Conrad Maree died on Tuesday.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), bereavement, isolation, loss of income and fear due to the COVID-19 pandemic are triggering mental health conditions or exacerbating existing ones.
