Virginia Keppler-Young is not just a journalist; she is a voice for the vulnerable and has literally saved the lives of over a 100 elderly from starvation, physical abuse and neglect. Referred to as a veteran journalist as she started her career at the anti-apartheid newspaper Vrye Weekblad, Virginia has since held various senior positions at mainstream media houses. Virginia also won the AfriCAN Authors Awards in Afrikaans Literature and Poetry for her second book in 2019. But she says her most important job is that of mother, wife and “Glamma” to her granddaughter.
