With Easter only a few days away, do you have your Easter recipes ready? If you are looking for a last-minute side dish to add to your spread, try these mouth-watering lemon potatoes. They are crispy, packed with flavour and will add a delicate touch to your Easter table.

This Greek-inspired recipe from cookbook author and entertaining expert, Chantal Lascaris, will have your guests and family members lick their lips after each bite. The dash of lemon adds to the flavour sensation, making these beauties irresistible.  

Quick tips when preparing your lemon potatoes

Make sure you do not overcook the potatoes but boil them in their jackets until just cooked. When the potatoes are cool enough to handle, cut them into wedges and rub them well in olive oil.

Next, arrange them on a baking tray and make sure you season them very generously with salt and pepper. Drizzle lemon juice on the potatoes before you pop them into the oven. When they come out of the oven, make squeeze another lemon over the potatoes.

Serve and wait for the compliments to start pouring in!

  • 4-5 4-5 unpeeled potatoes

  • olive oil

  • coarse salt

  • pepper to taste

  • 2 2 lemons

  • 2 sprigs 2 fresh rosemary


  • Boil the potatoes in their jackets until just cooked.
  • Drain and leave them until just cool enough to handle.
  • Cut the potatoes into wedges and rub olive oil all over them.
  • Arrange on a baking tray, season liberally with salt and pepper, squeeze the juice of one lemon over the wedges and scatter the rosemary sprigs over them.
  • Place under the grill until they start to brown.
  • Remove, turn and place under the grill again.
  • Once done, squeeze the juice of the second lemon over the potato wedges and serve immediately.
