Some suburbs in Johannesburg will endure an outage of up to 15 hours after Johannesburg Water announced an unplanned water shutdown.
The water shutdown will take place on Tuesday, 3 October from 7am to 10pm, according to Johannesburg Water.
The Department of Water and Sanitation Minister Senzo Mchunu listened to the cries of Johannesburg residents over water woes.

Johannesburg Water cautioned that the impact of the interruption will result in no water supply in all the streets.
According to Johannesburg Water, customers in this supply zone, including Steyn City will have poor pressure to no water.

Under Level 1 water restriction, Johannesbug Water says the watering of gardens is prohibited between 6am and 6pm.
