All over the world, the long weekend will be filled with friends, food and family. In South Africa, when the weather is good, we will light a fire and have yet another epic braai. One of our favourite things to cook on the fire are sosaties or kebabs and these Mexican chicken kebabs are spicy bits of goodness you’ll love. They are great as a starter with the guacamole dip or as a part of your main dish to enjoy with the ones you care about.
The yogurt marinade has enzymes that breaks down the chicken to make it more tender and the addition of spices and salt gives the chicken perfect seasoning right through. You can also play around with different spices to elevate the flavours and spice it up a bit more. The avocado guacamole is the perfect dipping sauce as it’s fresh and is the perfect contrast to the spice and richness of the kebabs. Serve them as a starter or make it part of your main meal.
