South Africans love a couple of chops roasted in the oven. These classic lemon and herb lamb chops are the perfect family dinner.

When you don’t have a braai, some chops roasted in the oven always make us happy. In South Africa, we really do have some of the best mutton and lamb out there which will make these lemon and herb lamb chops even better. They’re marinated to perfection and finished with a herb brown butter after being roasted.

The recipe uses easy-to-find spices and if you’re using Six-Gun grill spice, don’t use too much spice. Lamb chops are quite rich and the paprika freshens up the flavour a bit but you can also add some fresh herbs. The finishing butter turns these chops into something special that you can cook for your family every night of the week.
