Most of us love a sweet delight after our main meal. This apple crumble is just what you need in the heart of winter after dinnertime. But why wait only after dinner time? This fruity bite is delicious as an anytime treat as well.

Apple crumble is a mixture of sweet, tart and crunchy. It is a well-balanced dessert with just the right amount of sweetness and tartness. The crunchiness of the crumbly topping over the apple filling makes this dessert absolutely delightful. This is also a clever way to make use of apples if you have too many in your fruit bowl.

Ready in less than an hour, you can quickly whip an apple crumble together just before dinnertime. Serve with warm, creamy custard or a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you can bear the cold. Otherwise, add a dollop of fresh cream.

Enjoy our take on this old favourite dessert. We all need a bit of sweetness to make the harshness of winter a bit more bearable.
