Seasoned radio personality Lebohang ‘DJ Naves’ Naves has taken time to bid farewell to the Metro FM listeners as seen in his Instagram post shared on Friday, 12 January.

DJ Naves confirmed that he is set to leave Metro FM later this month. He expressed that he was looking forward to a new chapter in his career. He also took a trip down memory lane as he reflected on some of his favourite shows that he has been part of.
“Looking back on my time at Metro FM. I’ve had the privileged chance to be part of some great shows like Rhyme&Reason, #ThePreparty, #TheKingsSuite and #KingsOfTheWeekend,” DJ Naves wrote on his feed.
“Big thanks to @metrofmsa for that amazing journey. Change is always there and it’s time. I’m not scared of it. It’s a new start, [and] a chance to learn, and a time to create on a fresh slate,” he added.

The 39-year-old who has been in the radio industry for more than 10 years. He and his long-time friend Sphe ‘DJ Sphectacula’ Ngwenya have been presenteing the Saturday slot called Kings of The Weekend from 19:00 to 22:00. The duo previously left the station together, however, this time, DJ Naves is hanging his Metro FM, mic alone, SABC reported.
“My chapter at Metro FM ends on January 27, 2024. I’m so thankful for the experiences, opportunities, and incredible people I’ve worked with – some of whom have become lifelong friends… I’m pumped for the next adventure and the next parts of the #KOTW journey that I’ll soon share with you,” DJ Naves penned.
