Orlando Pirates pushing hard to sign ex Kaizer Chiefs starlet

A former Kaizer Chiefs star has been linked with a sensational move to Orlando Pirates after impressing at his new club

Orlando Pirates are reportedly interested in signing a former Kaizer Chiefs academy graduate!

The Buccaneers are looking to reinforce their midfield and a recently departed Amakhosi midfielder is headlining their wishlist!

Darrel Matsheke, who was shown the door by the Glamour Boys at the beginning of the season, has been in superb form for his new side Stellenbosch.

The 25-year-old midfielder has made nine appearances for Stellies, helping them to their first ever title in the form of the Carling Knockout Cup.

According to SoccerLaduma, Orlando Pirates are ‘intensifying’ their chase for Stellenbosch midfielder Darrel Matsheke.

The Buccaneers are looking to inject some young blood into their midfield with Thabang Monare (34), Miguel Timm (31) and Makhehlene Makhaula (34) all edging closer towards the end of their careers.

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Cole Alexander has reportedly returned to South Africa after concluding a deal with Polokwane City!

The 34-year-old midfielder joined Swedish Helsingborgs IF after his departure from the Glamour Boys.

However his stint in Europe lasted just six months with reports suggesting he has signed a new deal with Limpopo side Polokwane City!

Alexander has made over 280 appearances in the PSL for a host of clubs scoring 16 goals and assisting 11 more and will bring some healthy experience to Rise and Shine.
