PSL return: Pirates fixtures this month
Orlando Pirates fans are enjoying Evidence Makgopa at Afcon 2023 – but probably miss the rest of the team. Here are this month’s fixtures.

Orlando Pirates know that the first round of the 2023/24 season is history now. The second round is coming up.

DSTV PREMEIRSHIP: ORLANDO PIRATES FIXTURES IN FEBRUARY
Jose Riveiro’s side finished December 2023 with wounds and pain. A 3-1 loss to SuperSport United and a 3-2 loss to Stellenbosh FC left Pirates in fifth place with 25 points after 16 games.
But football is always full of new opportunities.
Coming up in the start of the second round is a home game before an intimidating trip up the N1.

The Sea Robbers will host TS Chippa United in Soweto, before travelling to the Tshwane to visit the mighty champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
Fixtures details:
- Tuesday, 13 February: Orlando Pirates vs Chippa United (home) at 19:30
- Saturday, 17 February: Mamelodi Sundowns vs Orlando Pirates (away) at 20:00.

SOWETO DERBY TICKET SALES
In related news, Orlando Pirates will be hosting Chiefs in the Soweto Derby next month.
The last two editions were two back-to-back wins for the team in back. Pirates won 2-1 in May 2023’s Nedbank Cup semi-final, while also winning the league match 1-0 in November last year.
As confirmed by Pirates and the Premier Soccer League, the next Soweto Derby against Chiefs will be at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 9 March.
Additionally, Pirates have announced that tickets for the event have gone on sale.
