The news follows after the club’s Director of Football Kaizer Jnr confirmed a new direction to build a younger squad.

Additionally, the likes of Ramahlwe Mphahlele, who can play both as a number five and two, is most likely to leave Kaizer Chiefs.

Indications are that Amakhosi have shown an interest in 19-year-old defender Rushwin Dortley from Cape Town Spurs in the GladAfrica Championship and could make a move from him at the end of the season,” Soccer Laduma reported.

“Chiefs are looking at reducing the average age of their squad as confirmed by sporting director Kaizer Motaung Jnr recently, so gunning for Dortley would clearly show the intent to start building for the future of the club.

“Soccer Laduma understands that there are also a few other teams in the Premier Soccer League keeping a close eye on the defender, who is most conformable as a left-sided centre back but can be deployed at left-back if needed,” the report added.
