Kaizer Chiefs’ Carling Cup team has started to take shape. As expected Itumeleng Khune leads the way. However, there is no Caleb-Bonfils Bimenyimana!

Amakhosi fans have been voting left, right and centre for their starting XI set to take on Orlando Pirates.
There are several surprise inclusions in the current side set to do battle in the Soweto derby!

Khune dominates the votes, as expected. With over 33 000 votes to date – and counting! He will lead out Amakhosi in the Soweto derby.
However, the rest of the side sees several surprises..

Most noticeably, the return of Amakhosi legend Erick Mathoho. In fact, he received the most votes out of all of the defenders, just shy of 7000 (6 678 votes).
Another shocker sees in-form fan-favourite Bimenyimana excluded altogether! In his place is Khama Billiat who currently holds over 10 000 votes (10 251).
However, there are several possible reasons for this.
Bimenyimana has only just joined Chiefs. Therefore, he has had less time to acquire votes or build up a reputation with all Amakhosi fans. He has built up tremendous hype after his six goals in rapid time for Chiefs!

It’s not too late to vote for Bimenyimana though.
