BREAKING: Kaizer Chiefs announce SURPRISE new coach!

Kaizer Chiefs have announced their new coach for the upcoming season, and no one really saw it coming as it’s a surprise.

Kaizer Chiefs have announced their new coach for the upcoming season, and no one really saw it coming as it’s a surprise.

In a statement released on Wednesday, Chiefs announced Molefi Ntseki as their new head coach with immediate effect.

Ntseki has been with Chiefs for two years now as their Head of Technical and Youth Development Academy.

However, he has been given the task to lead Chiefs with Arthur Zwane stepping aside after just once season as their head coach.

This is Ntseki’s first ever coaching gig in the PSL, and his biggest by far given the pressure that is at Chiefs.

He previously coached Bafana Bafana but he was booted out after failing to help the national team qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.

KAIZER CHIEFS ANNOUNCE NEW COACH

“Kaizer Chiefs are pleased to formally announce the appointment of Molefi Ntseki as the new Head Coach of the first team, effective immediately,” reads the statement.

KAIZER CHIEFS CHAIRMAN ON NTSEKI’S APPOINTMENT AS COACH

Kaizer Chiefs chairman Dr Kaizer Motaung congratulated Ntseki on his new role and for accepting this huge role.

And while the club knows that Ntseki faces a mammoth task, Motaung is confident that his experience and knowledge will help Chiefs achieve their goals.

“We would like to congratulate Coach Ntseki and thank him for accepting this huge responsibility. We know it’s not an easy task but we believe his experience and knowledge will help us improve and achieve our goals as Kaizer Chiefs,” said Dr Kaizer Motaung said in the statement.

“He has been here for two years, working well with Coaches Arthur and Dillon in his role as Head of Technical, and will now work with them in a different capacity.”

“We look forward to Coach Ntseki sharing his experience and ensuring that there is stability in the team while we improve our performance. We will provide him with all the support he needs in this new role,” added Motaung.
