Happy times for Orlando Pirates! Mission achieved as Bafana Bafana players FINALLY return

Orlando Pirates secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Diables Noirs in the second leg at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Orlando Pirates secured a crucial 1-0 victory over Diables Noirs in the second leg at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Happy times returned to Pirates as Happy Jele scored the winner in the first half to send the Buccanneers through to the CAF Confederation Cup.

Goodman Mosele returned to the starting line-up while Tshegofatso Mabasa got a run off the bench. Wayde Jooste and Kwandakwensizwa Mngonyama also received a rare starts.

Mosele has been under hot water after his no show with Bafana Bafana.

Hugo Broos selected the Bucs star but he did not pitch to training and preceded to miss Pirates next few matches. Mosele’s return to action means that his issues have been resolved with Pirates.

However, Broos is still awaiting an explanation before giving the star a second chance. The good news is that he is back on the pitch and has seemingly dealt with whatever he was dealing with.

Mabasa came on in the 67th minute. He seems well on his way to returning to full match fitness.

The Bucs have now officially qualified for the group stages of the Confederation Cup. This was also their first-ever victory over Diables Noirs.
