Kaizer Chiefs senior player Keagan Dolly has backed Wandile Duba’s comments about Orlando Pirates.

The 19-year-old scored a stunning goal to give Amakhosi a 1-0 win over Arrows on Tuesday evening.

After the match, Duba said, “They (Pirates) must wait for me. I am coming for them.”

Dolly though, doesn’t believe the young Chiefs attacker was overconfident and arrogant when he made his statement.

“You guys are always waiting for one thing a player says and it makes headlines!” Dolly told the media ahead of the Pirates game.

“Duba is a fantastic player, he has proved himself in the DDC (DStv Diski Challenge), where he scored lots of goals, and on Tuesday he saved us, he scored a goal and we want. “

Dolly said Duba had a lot of confidence and that is what Chiefs need going forward.

Dolly backs Duba ahead of the Soweto Derby against Pirates.

Duba went off against Arrows midweek and there were fears the teenager might miss the Soweto Derby on Saturday.

“He is fine, he hadn’t really played in a while, and with the first team, in the PSL it is a different game when you play with top-level players.”

“So for him it was just a bit of fatigue, nothing serious and he is doing well in preparation. It is going well for all of us, and you know when it comes to the derby, everyone is ready!” he said.

Amakhosi are eager to avenge their first round against Pirates and maybe Duba might be their key player.

Dolly is expected to play in the derby after failing to make an impression in the last match.
