Chiefs bringing in ‘NEW’ Torrealba

It is believes that Chiefs have agreed personal terms with Venezuela international, who is said to be comfortable in a six or eight role.

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly signed Venezuela international midfielder Edson Castillo dubbed as the new José Torrealba.

According to iDiski Times’ Lorenz Kohler, Amakhosi are expected to seal a deal to sign the 29-year-old Castillo on a free transfer.

It is believes that the Soweto giants have agreed personal terms with Venezuela international, who is said to be comfortable in a six or eight role.

Chiefs sign Castilo from South America

The South American player is currently a free agent after leaving Caracas.

He returned to his former club Monagas on a short-term deal, according to iDiski Times.

Kaizer Chiefs are looking to boost their squad for nex season following a disappointing 2022/23 campaign where they finished fith in the DStv Premiership.

The Glamour Boys have been busy in the tranfer market in the past few weeks. One of the players on their radar is Cape Town City star Mduduzi Mdantsane. The midfielder is expected to sign with Chiefs in the coming weeks.

Another midfielder who the club has strongly flirted with is Royal AM Lantshane Phalane.

Phalane can add good value to Chiefs average midfield, especially if they can add Mdantsane and Castillo in the mix.

Another player who Amakhosi are interested in signing is former Bafana Bafana playmaker Thulani Serero.

The 33-year-old is on his way out of Al Jazira and could make his spectacular return to the PSL next season having left 12 years ago to join Ajax Amsterdam in Netherlands. Cream, can inject life upfront for Chiefs should the move materialise.
