DStv Premiership side AmaZulu have announced their 10th signing of the new season with the acquisition of Guinea striker Yakhouba Gnagna Barry.

The 25-year-old marksman joins Usuthu from Guinean side Horoya AC.

Barry played 19 times for Horoya AC, scoring four goals and one assist.

Club president Sandile Zungu told FARPost: “Yakhouba Gnagna Barry gave us problems when we played Horoya in the CAF Champions League.

“We’ve managed to sign him. As I speak to you he’s on his way to South Africa. He got a visa already.”

AmaZulu’s other signings include: Wayde Jooste, Rowan Human, Victorien Adebayor, Celimpilo Ngema, Siyanda Hlangabeza, Victor Letsoalo, Mlondi Mbanjwa, Andile Kwanele Mbanjwa and Mfanafuthi Mkhize.

AmaZulu, under the guidance of new head coach, Pablo Franco Martin, have started the new season with three goalless draws.

In their KwaZulu-Natal derby opener, AmaZulu and Royal AM played out to a stalemate, and that was followed by scoreless home matches against SuperSport United and Richards Bay.

AmaZulu are currently 11th in the DStv Premiership standings.

They will next be in action away from home against Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday, 26 August.

Kick-off is at 17:30.
