Under fire Kaizer Chiefs head coach Molefi Ntseki has admitted that his team has performed below expectations so far this season.

Amakhosi’s start to the 2023/24 DStv Premiership has been poor so far, having already lost two games and drawn one in their first three matches.

Ntseki, who was appointed head coach a few weeks ago, faced criticism even before he coached his official match for the Glamour Boys. Sunday’s 1-0 loss to TS Galaxy saw angry Khosi fans throwing missiles at Ntseki as he was walking down the tunnel. He had to be escorted by police and security personnel after the Mbombela game.

Ntseki feeling the pressure four games into the season

“It has been an up and down kind of start. It has been both hot and cold,” said Ntseki after the match as quoted by Citizen.

Ntseki’s only win came in the MTN8 quarterfinal against Cape Town City.

“When you go to the last game before this one (the City game), we were very much spot on in terms of our plan and execution.

“I think that today if you look at how we started, we were shaky because we were not on the ball as much as we would like to be,” he said

Chiefs not clicking this season and the coach is to blame?

The Amakhosi coach blamed lack of finishing as to why he lost to Galaxy but in truth, Amakhosi were lucky not to have conceded three or more goals.
