Vincent Kompany happy to have Lyle Foster back.

Burnley coach Vincent Kompany has provided an update on Lyle Foster’s injury against Tottenham Hotspur.

Kompany’s side were defeated 1-0 by Spurs in the FA Cup, third round at Turf Moor Stadium.

Foster was subbed off during half-time and his coach confirmed that the Bafana Bafana striker was in pain and had to be substituted.

Before the injury, Foster was out of the team for seven weeks to concentrate on building his mental health

He missed seven league matches, but returned to action in December.

Foster suffers another injury

“We’ll see. I hope it’s not bad news. I can’t tell you much more,” said Kompany.

“Hopefully, with that little bit of extra time before the Luton game, we’ll have some good news.

“I hope Lyle won’t be too long, but at this moment in time, he’s in a little bit of pain,” he said as per Burnley Express.
