Bafana Bafana latest: Broos names provisional squad for Liberia tie

Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has named a 35-man provisional squad for the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying tie against Liberia in late March.

Bafana Bafana will host Liberia on 24 March before traveling to Monrovia for the return leg four days later, and Broos is already planning for those back-to-back matches.

This preliminary squad will be trimmed to 23 players when Broos announces his final list for the two matches next week.

According to the South African Football Association (SAFA), Bafana Bafana will go into camp in Johannesburg on Sunday, 19 March 2023.

Now, Broos has included a number of players who really have done well for themselves and clubs in recent months.

Cassius Mailula, Percy Tau, Monnapule Saleng and Kobamelo Kodisang have all made the provisional squad.
