Hugo Broos will be announcing his latest Bafana Bafana squad very soon. In fact, we have the exact date for you.

Broos will be naming his latest Bafana squad to take on Liberia in two crucial AFCON qualifiers.

He will be announcing his squad on Thursday, 16 March 2023. This was confirmed on iDiskiTimes website.

BROOS’ BAFANA BAFANA SQUAD ANNOUNCEMENT

As mentioned, Broos will be announcing South Africa’s squad to take on Liberia next week Thursday, 16 March 2023.

Initially, SA’s coach was expected to announce a preliminary squad this week. However, he opted against this.

Meaning, when this squad is announced it will be the finalized squad for the remaining AFCON qualifiers.

SA take on Liberia at the Orlando Stadium on 24 March 2023 before traveling to Liberia four days later for the second fixture.

Remember, Broos’ men just need to better Liberia over the two fixtures in order to qualify from their group.

This is because Zimbabwe was disqualified leaving just Morocco, South Africa and Liberia to fight for the top two spots. Therefore, SA is heavily favoured to qualify for AFCON with Liberia ranked 150th in the world. A staggering 83 places below SA, who are ranked 67th.
