LIV Golf in 2023: All 12 teams finally revealed

LIV Golf has finally confirmed the full 12-team field set to compete all season in the season season of the LIV Golf League.

LIV Golf has confirmed the full 12-team field set to compete all season in the season season of the LIV Golf League.

LIV Golf in 2023 will feature 14 tournaments in seven different countries around the world. The season begins on 24 February 24 at Mayakoba’s El Camaleón Golf Course in Mexico.

“In less than a year, LIV Golf has reinvigorated the professional game and laid the foundation for the sport’s future. In 2023, the LIV Golf League comes to life,” said LIV Golf CEO Greg Norman.

“The most popular sports in the world are team sports, and our league format has already begun to build connections with new audiences around the globe.

“Major champions, current and future Hall of Famers, and up-and-coming stars are all committed to creating this new platform for world-class competition as the sport evolves for the next generation.”

Burmester, Pieters join the rebels

New to the LIV Golf league this season are Thomas Pieters, Brendan Steele and South Africa’s Dean Burmester, who has nine Tour wins including two on the DP World Tour.

Pieters is the highest profile player to join this season after falling out with the PGA TOUR recently.

He joins Stinger GC which is an all-South African team featuring Louis Oosthuizen, Charl Schwartzel and Branden Grace.
