A manhunt has been launched for two men who are accused of raping two girls aged eight and nine at Gogobole village. The SAPS’ Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) in Tshilwavhusiku, Limpopo.

The Itsoseng Regional Court postponed the case against the four accused cop killers in Mareetsane on Friday. The case has been postponed to 25 July 2022, for a high court appearance.

Two minors raped on the way back from school, and investigations ongoing

 A manhunt has been launched for two men who are accused of raping two girls aged eight and nine at Gogobole village. The SAPS’ Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit (FCS) in Tshilwavhusiku, Limpopo.

A spokesperson for the South African Police Service in Limpopo Brig Motlafela Mojapelo said the two girls fell victim to the crime on Thursday, 9 June at around 16:00. The girls were reportedly walking home from school.

These SUSPENDED provincial dept heads have been paid over R12m

Six suspended provincial heads of departments who have been sitting at home have been paid over R12 million. Among these individuals is the Free State Human Settlements head Tim Mokhesi. Mokhesi is implicated in the Free State’s asbestos roof case.

The news about the six suspended heads was revealed by Minister in the Presidency Mondli Gungubele. He was responding to a Parliamentary question posed by Democratic Alliance (DA) MP Mimmy Gondwe.

Shoprite alerts customers of a potential data breach

warning was released by the Shoprite group on Friday, 10 June, indicating a potential data breach. The suspected breach may include the names and identity numbers of customers. 

The breach could also impact money transfers involving Eswatini, Namibia and Zambia.   

Shoprite confirmed that an SMS will be sent to customers affected by the potential data breach.

Cop killers arrested after their remains were found inside their BURNT state vehicle

he Itsoseng Regional Court postponed the case against the four accused cop killers in Mareetsane on Friday.

The case has been postponed to 25 July 2022, for a high court appearance. 

According to National Prosecuting Authority, North West region spokesperson, Henry Mamothame, the suspects’ defence team was provided with an indictment, detailing all charges against the accused. 

“Investigations have been completed and a pre-trial date is expected to be set when the matter appears in court.”

New study reveals the world’s most EXPENSIVE cities for expats

Hong Kong remains the world’s most expensive city to reside in for expats. A recent study has placed Hong Kong at the top for the second year in a row as New York and Geneva took the second and third spots. 

According to the study conducted by ECA International, a combination of increased prices and a stronger currency allowed Hong Kong to remain at the top.

The increased prices of Hong Kong can be represented by a cup of coffee costing a substantial $5.21, while a litre of petrol costs $3.04 and a kilogram of tomatoes sets consumers back by $11.51.
