Are you too busy to arrange to pay your City of Joburg Municipal Account? The City has multiple options to make payments to avoid your account falling into arrears.

SIMPLE WAYS TO PAY YOUR CITY OF JOBURG MUNICIPAL ACCOUNT

The City of Joburg advises the following payment option to settle your outstanding Municipal Account.

Customers may pay using any of the listed methods below:

  • ​e-Joburg Portal: www.e-joburg.org.za
  • With EasyPay, facilitating a quick payment option at many shops that you visit on a regular basis, including Pick ‘n Pay and Shoprite Checkers
  • Debit orders
  • Direct deposits at major banks
  • ATMs
  • Internet and cell phone banking
  • ​SA Post Office
  • Any Council pay-point (Customer Service Centre) – listed below:
  • Midrand Civic Centre – 300 – 15th Road, Midrand.
  • Sandton Civic Centre – 24 Fredman Drive, Sandton.
  • Roodepoort City Hall – C/o Berlandina and Dieperink Streets, Roodepoort.
  • Eureka House – C/o Marlborough Street & Rosettenville Road, Wemmerpan.
  • Lenasia Civic Centre – C/o Rose Avenue & Eland Street, Lenasia Ext 2.
  • Thuso House, 61 Jorissen Street, Braamfontein
  • Ennerdale Ext 9 – C/o Katz Road & Smit Street, Ennerdale.

MMC MORERO EXPLAINS THE REASON TO HIKE TARIFFS

Meanwhile, the City of Joburg MMC for Finance, Councillor Dada Morero, recently announced the implementation of new tariffs for key services, namely, electricity, water, property rates, refuse and sanitation on 1 July 2023.

He said this move was effective as the City is trying hard to protect its residents from the rising costs of services through its balanced tariff structure.
“We understand that many households are currently struggling from the high rising costs of services. The City understands that our residents are battling under low economic growth, unemployment, loadshedding and still feeling the effects of Covid-19 pandemic. We want to assure residents that the City has listened to their comments and inputs,” he explained.
