Craig Roman, a voter at a Nelson Mandela Bay polling station donning both old and new South African flags, told News24 that both flags represent his country.

However, he said that he was still waiting for a third flag to truly represent him, which he will wear over his heart.

Pointing to the old flag he said: “This one is for the whites and the new one is for the blacks.”

He explained that he is wearing the old flag because it represents his heritage too.

He continues, pointing at his heart: “There’s a missing flag for coloured people… where’s the coloured’s flag?”

When News24 asked what that flag would look like, Roman said: “Maybe something with someone sleeping after lunch or holding up a gun.”

Earlier Roman was seen shouting at DA mayoral candidate Athol Trollip, upset after he saw the Mmusi Maimane visiting the polling station.

He admitted that he did not agree with politicians canvassing there.

“It is not allowed. They should not be here. It’s the rules. They should know the rules,” he reportedly said.
