Man buys R33 000 worth alcohol in a day

A South African ordered R14 000 and R19 000 on alcohol in one day, which totalled to a staggering R33 000.

A patron spent R33 000 on alcohol at a South African restaurant and tipped the waiter.

PATRON SPENDS R33 000 ON BOOZE

Sowetan reported on Monday, 22 January that a South African ordered alcohol worth R33 000 in one day.

The publication adds that the patron bought the alcohol on Friday, 13 October, according to the online food ordering and delivery platform.

The customer reportedly had two separate orders. He first put an order of nearly R14 000, then R19 000 which included tips.

MAN SPENDS R93 000 ON ALCOHOL

Jacaranda Fm reports that another South African spent R93 000 on alcohol at a South African restaurant during the festive season.

South Africans took to social media to react to the shocking bill.

Constance Masuku: “Bra how I’m struggling to finish my house because i lost my job and people are drinking this much Yoooh impilo.”

Carol Goldberg: “Absolutely disgusting!!! People are starving and homeless.”

Musa Magongo: “Yimihlolo ke lena (this is ridiculous).”

Ke Nna Mpho: “Sure the meal sold is awful rather eat somewhere.”

Nobesuthu Mooketsi: “This is money for a car.”
