No, they were not bridesmaids!
Probably any women’s worst nightmare! Six women showed up to a friend’s wedding wearing the same dress in Sydney, Australia… and no, they were not bridesmaids.
It seems the women all bought the same dress at Forever New (and Portmans), after one of them decided to post ‘the incident‘ on the fashion brand’s Facebook page.
The ‘dress wearer’ who posted the news, Debbie Speranza said: “You really should start a bridal registry so that your customers can enquire whether anyone else has purchased one of your dresses for the same event. No we are NOT the bridesmaids just the guests. Think I deserve a gift voucher for all this advertisement.”
The dress is described on Forever New’s website as “perfectly tailored to flatter and accentuate your figure”. Clearly, it’s a popular choice and very pretty.
Luckily, based on the photo, it seems the women were able to laugh it off.
And now, the photo’s gone viral:
The bride, Julia Mammone told the Daily Telegraph that she’s heard of two women, maybe three, wearing the same dress, but six?
“You couldn’t make it up. At first there were a few dirty looks among the girls in the same dress who didn’t quite know whether to laugh it off or go home and get changed.
“In the end we all cracked up about it. It’s every girl’s worst nightmare, what else can you do?”
She also said the bridesmaids luckily found the situation funny…
