If you are looking for an easy recipe to whip together in less than an hour for your family, this sausage pasta recipe will not disappoint. You can have dinner ready in 40 minutes although it will taste as if you have spent hours in the kitchen. The combination of sausage, heavy creamy, spinach and sun-dried tomato is just heavenly and will certainly hit the spot.

Adding spinach to this dish shoots up the nutritional level of this meal. It adds a punch of vitamin E and magnesium that support your immune system. It is also an excellent source of iron which enhances hemoglobin creation and ultimately increasing oxygen levels in your blood.

  • 230 g 230 penne pasta uncooked

  • 450 g 450 ground sausage

  • 2 tablespoons 2 olive oil

  • 2 cups 2 heavy cream

  • ½ cup ½ chicken broth

  • 1 teaspoon 1 garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon 1 Italian seasoning

  • 1 cup 1 parmesan cheese

  • 2 cups 2 spinach, chopped

  • ½ cup ½ sun-dried tomatoes


  • Bring a large pot to boil and cook the pasta according to package directions.
  • In a large skillet add the sausage. Cook and crumble until it is no longer pink. Set aside on a plate.
  • Add the heavy cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese. Whisk over medium-high heat until it starts to thicken.
  • Add the spinach and sundried tomatoes and let it simmer until the spinach starts to wilt.
  • Add the sausage back to the pan and add the pasta and stir until heated throughout.
