We all love a fluffy waffle, don’t we? They are a light meal that you can have for a delicious breakfast or a trendy brunch. Waffles are also great as a dessert with the right ingredients. Waffles are a very versatile platform for so many great ingredients which makes them perfect for anybody to enjoy. Using oats is a much healthier option and adding some fruit adds great nutrients to the dish. Try our Oat & Strawberry Waffles any time of day for any meal you can.

Your Oat & Strawberry Waffles will be soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. Almond flakes will add some crunch while strawberries add sweetness and great fruity goodness. Each serving is a mere 115 calories which makes it super light and won’t make you feel guilty about the food you enjoy. They fit any healthy person’s nutrition goals. You can add other fruits like berries, banana and other nuts to your heart’s desire as long as you adjust the calories too, if you want to.

Oat & Strawberry Waffles Recipe

Ingredients

  • 80 g 80 raw oats

  • 2 medium 2 bananas

  • 2 large 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp 1 almond extract

  • 1 tsp 1 baking powder

  • 1 tbsp 1 almond flour

  • 1 tsp 1 almond flakes for topping

  • 1 tsp 1 honey for topping

  • 4 medium 4 fresh strawberries

Method

  • Place the raw oats, baking powder and almond flour together in a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Place the banana, eggs, almond extract into the blender and blend until silky smooth.
  • Heat the waffle maker and use cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  • Place one scoop of the batter in the waffle machine, and cook until golden brown.
  • Carefully remove from the waffle machine, sprinkle with the almond flakes, drizzle with the honey and place the cut up strawberries on top. Serve and enjoy!
