Did you enjoy watching grandma making jams and preserves? Did you learn how to make these sweet and delicious preserves yourself and want some more recipes combinations? A dried apricot chutney is what you need to make this weekend. It’s a spicy and sweet preserve that’s perfect with cheese and biscuits or even in a curry. If you follow a vegan or vegetarian choice of food, this recipe is for you too.

Dried apricot chutney suggestions

This spicy chutney has a few chilies but you can adjust as you want to, however, the chilies help lift the different flavours in the preserve. As with other preserves, they are great with starter snacks with cheese and salted crackers. If you’re making original South African bobotie, this spicy chutney would be a great substitute for the apricot jam usually added to the dish.
