Need a quick, easy and flavourful meal? This creamy chicken breast recipe is an easy one-pan dish that will be a winner for the family. This recipe is perfect for those evenings when time is not on your side, and you need to fix dinner in less than an hour.

One-pan dishes like this creamy chicken breast in spinach parmesan sauce are not only quick to prepare but usually extremely tasty as there is an infusion of a variety of different flavours. Cleaning up afterwards is also so much quicker if you have used only one pot to cook dinner.

Prepare a pot of fluffy white rice or wholewheat brown rice to serve with this recipe. The rice will absorb the tasty sauce making it a filling and satisfying meal. Alternatively, if you love traditional steamed bread, you can serve that with this chicken recipe as well. Any dish with loads of sauce or stew goes excellently with steamed bread.

  • 4 4 chicken breasts

  • 3 tablespoons 3 butter, divided

  • ½ teaspoon ½ salt and pepper, or to taste

  • 1 teaspoon 1 oregano

  • 1 medium 1 onion, minced

  • 4 cloves 4 garlic, minced

  • 1 small jar 1 sun-dried tomatoes, drained from oil and chopped

  • ½ cup ½ chicken broth

  • ½ cup ½ heavy cream

  • cup Parmesan cheese, grated

  • 1 cup 1 spinach (or more if you like)


  • Thoroughly season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and ½ teaspoon oregano on both sides.
  • In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter with a bit of oil from the sun-dried tomatoes over medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and cook for about 4 minutes on each side until browned. Once done and no longer pink, transfer grilled chicken breasts to a plate and set aside.
  • To make the creamy spinach parmesan sauce, add the remaining tablespoon of butter to the same pan. Cook onion, garlic, ½ teaspoon oregano, and sun-dried tomatoes. Slowly add chicken broth, heavy cream, and Parmesan cheese and mix to combine until smooth while simmering for 2-3 minutes. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Add spinach to the mixture and continue cooking until wilted. Add the chicken breasts back to the pan and reheat for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve the creamy chicken with spinach and parmesan sauce immediately, garnished with fresh chopped parsley. Enjoy!
