You need healthy meal ideas that will not only fuel your body but help you recover while tasting great at the same time. This Asia-inspired chicken stir-fry is the way to go. With an assortment of healthy vegetables and a great protein source, you’ve got a one-wok meal that will become a new regular dinner meal.

Asia-inspired chicken stir-fry suggestions

This recipe is loaded with protein from chicken and edamame beans (also rich in fibre), some carbs from wholewheat noodles and tons of veggies and spice to keep it tasty and healthy at the same time. Everything is made in one pot, making it super simple, especially if you’ve got everything chopped and ready to throw in. You can either make one meal or use the same recipe for food prep this week, and each serving is only 264 calories.

Asia-inspired Chicken Stir-fry Recipe

  • 360 g 360 chicken breast, raw

  • 120 g 120 wholewheat noodles

  • 1 tbsp 1 olive oil

  • 2 cloves 2 garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp 1 fresh ginger, grated

  • 2 cups 2 mushrooms, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup 1 edamame beans, boiled

  • 2 cups 2 spinach, shredded

  • 2 tbsp 2 soy sauce, reduced sodium

  • ¼ cup ¼ coriander, finely chopped

  • ½ medium ½ onion, thinly sliced

  • 1 tsp 1 red chili, flakes

  • 1 meddium 1 lime, fresh


  • Prepare noodles according to packet directions.
  • Place a wok over medium heat. Add 1 teaspoon of oil and the chicken. Sauté until cooked through and browned. Remove and place in a bowl.
  • Add the remaining oil, onion, ginger, and garlic to the same wok used for the chicken and saute for a few minutes. Then add the mushrooms, edamame beans, ½ cup of water and the soy sauce.
  • Add the noodles, and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
  • Add chicken and cook until warmed through. Sprinkle with coriander and chili flakes, and squeeze over the lime juice before serving.
