The cheesecake allegedly baked by former Bafana Bafana player Matthew Booth for his alleged girlfriend Bongani Mthombeni-Möller has been on everyone’s lips and we understand why.
In exposing her husband’s alleged extra-marital affair, Matthew’s wife, Sonia Booth, took to social media to share a series of posts with receipts and evidence of his cheating, allegedly with Bongani who also works with him.

One of the posts tells how Matthew [allegedly] baked cheesecake on the evening of 3 November for Bongani. Sonia said together with her children she thought the cake was for their family as it was the eve of their son’s 18th birthday. Only to realise the next morning that it had “disappeared”.
According to Sonia, she would have “let this one slide too” until she realised her Tupperware to Bongani’s house.
I would’ve let this one slide too until I realized my cake carrier Tupperware was at her house. You don’t mess with a township girl and her Tupperware!” she wrote on Instagram.

That was not the last we’d hear of the cheesecake gate.
After a Monday coffee meeting with Klaus, Bongani’s husband, Sonia drove to the Möller home where she collected her Tupperware.
Klaus had nothing but great reviews for the dessert.
“This is restaurant grade,” he says in a video Sonia posted.
