‘Suffocated her until she blacked out’: How Jub Jub ‘raped’ Amanda

In a police statement by actress Amanda du-Pont, she opens up about the multiple times her ex-boyfriend Jub Jub allegedly raped her, including the time she fell pregnant.

According to Sunday World, Amanda alleges that there were several incidents during their relationship in 2007 and 2008. The former Skeem Saam actress alleged that the rapper –real name Molemo Maarohanye – would sometimes rape her in front of her younger sisters.

Despite the alleged sexual abuse, Amanda says she moved in with with him in 20078 which is the same year she says she fell pregnant but aborted their baby.

According to one of the policemen, Amanda said she wanted to take her own life afterwarda as she was not coping.

The Ndikhokhele rapper reportedly continued raping her until she attempted suicide.

During another incident, he allegedly physically assaulted her and accused her of cheating.

“He then put his hands on her neck, choked and suffocated her until she could not breathe anymore and blacked out,” said the cop.

After this incident, she said she kicked him, ran out of the house and reported him at the Mondeor police station.

LAWYER ASKS FOR POSTPONEMENT

The musician faces 13 counts ranging from multiple counts of rape, indecent assault, assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and several counts of kidnapping.

The Uyajola 9/9 host is set to make his next court appearance on 8 November after his lawyer, Ntsako Baloyi, requested for a lengthy postponement to explore all avenues available to quash the charges.

“As the state, we have disclosed the content of the docket and we are ready to set a trial date. And the defence was given an opportunity to respond to that. Their response was that they are yet to study the contents of the docket and decide whether or not they want to go to trial or they first exhaust other mechanism available to them, one of them being logic presentation. They asked for a postponement to November 8 for them to decide the approach of their defence,” National Prosecuting Authority spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane said
