It’s been a busy week for the Royal Family. On the seventh of November, King Charles addressed the country as he delivered his first King’s Speech since taking the crown. One week later, he celebrated his birthday on the 14th as he turned 75. With his movements being so frequent during this period, it makes sense that his guards have been working overtime to be everywhere they are needed. Unfortunately, on one particular occasion, they were in a bit too much of a hurry!

If you didn’t already know, the King’s Guards (also known as the Household Division) are instructed to march in a straight and proper manner at all times until they are off duty. For what its worth, the child did not look to hurt at all and was instead just startled by the surprising discipline shown by the soldiers. The child’s parents were also on the scene but didn’t seem too concerned after what had happened.

UNSUNG HEROES OF THE ROYAL FAMILY?

Despite the rigidness of their work, the King’s Guards are a crucial part of the Royal Family’s success. They not only provide security, but a sense of order and structure to the Royal affairs.

However, recent reports from global publications have exposed some of the challenges the soldiers face when it comes to their living conditions. A video went viral earlier in 2023 exposing the difficult conditions they are forced to live in. In the video, rats, blocked pipes and overly littered streets were spotted just metres away from the King’s Guards’ army barrack.
