Skeem Saam actress Pebetsi Matlaila has finally shared pictures of her three-month-old daughter and Mzansi can’t get enough of her.

The actress confirmed she gave birth to a healthy baby girl three months ago after she and her baby nearly lost their lives due to preeclampsia complications.

According to mayoclinic.com, preeclampsia is a pregnancy complication characterised by high blood pressure and signs of damage to another organ system, most often the liver and kidneys.

She posted pictures of herself alongside her eight-year-old daughter, Oarabile, and her baby whom she shares with her TV producer husband Lloyd Mbatha.

SHE SURVIVED IT ALL

The actress told her followers that she and her loved-ones were involved in a car accident while escaping an attempted hijacking a month before she gave birth.

Besides the shock and minor injuries, everyone involved in the accident survived with no casualties reported, we thank God.

She was treated in hospital and was discharged in no time as she and her unborn daughter were unharmed.

I rejoice and praise the Sovereign God because we’ve been discharged from hospital.

We’re still in good health, including the baby. Material things can be replaced but life can be lost in a split second.

But mercy said no. God reminded us of His power and protection, even when we’re not aware. I serve a living God, my family and I are all still good.

Matlaila also took to her Instagram Stories and opened up about her childbirth experience and how grateful she was to be alive and well.

I don’t know yet how I survived. I’m told most women with preeclampsia don’t.

I cannot wrap my head around it yet or comprehend what happened.

I am told we were brought back from death and shocked (doctors).

One day I will share the story. I don’t know why God chose us. For now, I appreciate health, and am deeply grateful for life.

Since this year began my existence on earth has been tried and tested.

High health risks, car accident, depression and anxiety, fatally challenging birth experience.

So, literally, God gave me a second chance at life. I will never take it for granted again.

MOKGADI RETURNS TO ‘SKEEM SAAM

The actress revealed her return to the show last month, following her maternity leave in to give birth to her daughter.

Viewers saw Mokgadi a week ago when her on-screen husband  Leeto Maputla (Eric Macheru) humiliated her by throwing a divorce party in Johannesburg.

She told Daily Sun:

It feels great to be reconnecting with Mokgadi again.

When you spend some time playing a character, it becomes your friend.

Coming back feels like linking up with an old friend.
