With many couples shopping for wedding venues at this time of year, we take a look at where some of our Springboks tied the knot.
Our victorious Springboks have admitted that their triumphs could not have been possible without their loved ones being by their side. Marriage and commitment are at the heart of our players’ characters and it directly translates into the passion we see on the pitch. We’ve spent some time not only admiring the marriages of our players and their wives, but also looking into when and where they decided to commit forever.
When it comes to choosing a wedding venue, it’s important not to compromise. Experts from SA Venues recommend these four tips for choosing your ultimate ceremony.
Judging from our Springboks’ choices, it looks as if they’ve followed the advice above! Here’s where these SA Rugby couples tied the knot
Mom and Dad-to-be, Eben and Anlia are one of the youngest marriages in the Springboks camp. They got married in April 2023 at La Paris Wine Estate in Franschhoek at a beautiful ceremony that left tears in the eyes of many (for all the right reasons!).
Siya and Rachel made it official at a special ceremony in the Western Cape when they did their nuptials at the Molenvliet Wine Estate in Stellenbosch. Their wedding took place in 2016 and came after they had been together for four years.
Mine and Faf De Klerk said “I Do” at the beautiful La Paris Estate in Franschhoek where they were surrounded by their loved ones with the backdrop of the country’s most gorgeous mountain range.
Marise and Handre Pollard tied the knot in the beautiful Winelands of Franschhoek in the Western Cape back in 2017. Their wedding was attended by a few Springboks players and has been a highlight of their lives since. Although they didn’t tag the wine farm they married at, Franschhoek is a popular wedding destination for couples saying I do (as you can see from a few on this list!).
