Mamelodi Sundowns supporters as well as the Motsepe family have expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family of comedian, and DJ Peter “Mashata” Mabuse.

MOTSEPE FAMILY PAYS TRIBUTE TO DJ MASHATA

The comedian Peter “Mashata” Mabuse, who was a Mamelodi Sundowns announcer was shot and killed in a hail of bullets on Sunday, 21 April morning.

Sunday World reports that the football club released a statement conveying their condolences to their stadium announcer.

“The chairman, the Motsepe family, the board of directors, technical team, players, management, staff, supporters of Mamelodi Sundowns FC and the entire Yellow Nation express their deepest condolences to the family and friends as we mourn the loss of the multi-talented Peter “Mashata” Mabuse, who served as an announcer at the Mamelodi Sundowns games.”

“We pray that the Almighty comforts and strengthens the Mabuse family, his fans, friends, and colleagues in the entertainment industry. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones and every one that was touched by his talent, entertainment, and laughter. Robala Ka Kgotso Mashata – The Msindo Maker.”

South Africans and fans of the football club also took to social media to pay tribute to the DJ.

PETER MABUSE: MURDERED

The Pretoria-based DJ and comedian Peter Mashata Mabuse was shot and killed in a hail of bullets this morning.

The SABC reports that Mashata was travelling with another occupant when unknown gunmen opened fire on their vehicle.

Mashata, who was a Mamelodi Sundowns supporter was traveling near Soshanguve TUT campus when the vehicle he was travelling in got shot.

TshisaLIVE reports that police on Sunday confirmed the comedian and DJ Peter “Mashata” Mabuse was gunned down in Soshanguve.

Gauteng police spokesperson Col Noxolo Kweza says: “The shooting involved two men aged 46 and 45 years during the early hours of today (Sunday). One victim died in hospital while the other was injured.”

“The two victims were driving near TUT (Tshwane University of Technology) in Soshanguve when shots were fired at their vehicle. The suspects fled and police are following several leads.”
