A video of Julius Malema asking where Rise Mzansi is getting funding from surfaced on X this weekend. This is before the politican party confirmed a R15 million donation from Rebecca Oppenheimer.

RISE MZANSI: R15 MILLION DONATION
The SABC reported on Sunday, 18 February that Rise Mzansi confirmed it has received a R15 million donation from Rebecca Oppenheimer.
The new political party registered with the IEC in October 2023 and is led by former editor of the Business Day and the Financial Mail, Songezo Zibi.
The publication adds that political parties are obliged to declare donations above R100 000 and up to R15 million under the Political Party Funding Act.
The party also revealed that it received R1 million from Main Street 1564, over R500 000 from Kairos Communications, and over R100 000 from Injozi Design.
The Citizen reports that Rebecca Oppenheimer is the granddaughter of De Beers founder and former chair of the diamond company Harry Oppenheimer.
