Marise – the wife of Springbok Handre Pollard – has shared a sweet throwback snap of their relationship, which dates back to their teenage years.
The couple – who are currently based in the UK, where Handre plays for the Leicester Tigers – are expecting their first child together.

MARISE AND HANDRE POLLARD THROWBACK
In an Instagram Story, Marise Pollard shared a throwback of her romance with Handre. The image dated back to 2012.
Earlier this month, the model and influencer reflected on their 12-year relationship. She posted: “Handre, you still take my breath away, and I love you more than ever”.
She added: “I can’t wait to see you as a father…we are so excited for this next chapter”.

WHERE DID THEY MEET?
According to Woman And Home, the couple first began dating in 2013, while Marise was a student at The University of Pretoria and Pollard was playing for the Bulls.
The couple met as teens through Facebook and would go on to wed in 2017.

According to The Sun, Marise – a gold-medallist in athletics – claimed the rugby star was not her usual type.
She said: “He wasn’t the kind of guy I would usually fall for. But he was incredibly attractive to me! He was strong, muscular, and an introvert.”
