‘End of an era?’: Kabza De Small and DJ Maphorisa’s ‘fallout’

Celebrated Amapiano duo DJ Maphorisa and Kabza De Small are making headlines against the backdrop of their alleged beef.
No doubt, the rumours came against the backdrop of DJ Maphorisa’s Instagram Live session.
KABZA DE SMALL AND DJ MAPHORISA’S ALLEGED FALLOUT
During the session, DJ Maphorisa took a swipe at fans for asking him about Kabza De Small. The DJ noted that Kabza has a wife and is not accountable for his whereabouts.
However, during the session, he revealed that Kabza had bought a house and had his studio. DJ Maphorisa said, “Don’t you know he has his own house? He bought a house and has his own studio. Am I supposed to be living for Kabza? Are you crazy?”
Despite Kabza De Small rubbishing their alleged beef last week, a close source to the duo has let the cat out of the bag. Speaking to ZiMoja anonymously, the source said, “Last year, these two went on social to troll each other, but people thought it was a publicity stunt, but it wasn’t, and now they are not even talking or doing gigs together”.
GOING SEPARATE WAYS?
Against the claims, Mzansi connected the dots about their alleged fallout. Kabza De Small seems to be pushing some works on his record label Piano Hub. Several tracks have been uploaded to the website.
On the other hand, he made it known that he is establishing Piano Hub in Soweto in one of his recent posts on Instagram. Kabza De Small even shared the progress on his social media platforms.
SOLO MUSIC PROJECTS
However, most of Kabza De Small’s recent projects do not include DJ Maphorisa as before. According to Apple Music, in his recent album Isimo, Kabza De Small only shared credits with DJ Maphorisa on the smash hit Imithandazo on the nine-track album.
On Instagram, Kabza De Small has seemingly deleted most of his photos, with DJ Maphorisa only leaving a poster of their gig slatted for May and a birthday post. Just like Kabza, DJ Maphorisa has also deleted most of his photos, with Kabza leaving a few, including their gig posters.
BOOKINGS AND PERFORMING SEPARATELY
The two are now taking bookings through their record labels, with DJ Maphorisa using Blaqboy Music and Kabza De Small using Piano Hub.
On the other hand, for now, the two are performing separately. Kabelo has been performing alone, just like DJ Maphorisa. However, DJ Phori shared the decks with Thuli Phongolo in some of his gigs. However, the two have yet to confirm the news despite all this openly.
