On Friday, 22 March, singing sensation Tyla Seethal dropped her self-titled debut album, TYLA. The South African-born singer has so far had a warm reception to her offering and has already had thousands of TikToks made with her new songs.

The album features big international stars like Tems, Becky G, Gunna, Skillibeng, and Mzansi producer Kelvin Momo.

Shortly after its release, the singer sat down with popular content creator Kai Cenat and left fans highly entertained after rejecting the streamer in front of 150,000 viewers.

Tyla’s TYLA makes waves

Tyla is one of the biggest artists to come out of South Africa, and locals are nothing short of proud.

For her interlude, she collaborated with South African hitmaker Kelvin Momo, who is a big hit among amapiano lovers.

Kai Cenat’s big crush

Over the last few days, she has been promoting the album in various tweets and TikTok posts. She also visited US streamer and YouTuber Kai Cenat.

The pair sat down in front of 150 000 livestreamers and basically read comments from streamers who had questions for the singer.

They also exchanged gifts.

Things got a little awkward when the famous content creator decided to ask Tyla out on a date. Hilariously, she rejected his offer and, according to social media users, put him in the “friend zone”.

Take a look at the pair below:

Netizens are in stitches

Social media users who watched the stream couldn’t wait to discuss the awkward moment and headed online to laugh about it.

Others pointed out how he should not have tried to ask her out in front of a crowd.

“Call me childish or whatever, but I think that asking someone out in front of an audience or crowd is completely and utterly unnecessary. It’s like a form of peer pressure for the other party…” one person wrote while another said:

“Getting rejected on live in front of 150k people is sick work ima have to end the stream.”
