Pregnancy and giving birth is one of the most beautiful things in the world. Most women absolutely love growing their babies in their tummies for nine months — or even longer.

While it is beautiful, it is also hard.

One may think that once the baby is born, everything goes back to normal but that is simply not the case. New mom Lamiez Holworthy recently gave people some insight after opening up about her postpartum struggles.

Taking to Instagram she shared that her body hasn’t quite returned to its pre-pregnancy state.

Stretchies, dark marks and everything in between

“Woke up missing my bump. I, however, don’t like that I’m still struggling with some of the not so nice changes that came with pregnancy. Mainly? The hyperpigmentation — my neck, under my arms and inner thighs are still so much darker than the rest of my body,” she wrote.

It didn’t take long for other moms to share kind and reassuring words with her in the comment section.

”It takes 36 months to fully recover from a pregnancy. You are gorgeous, momma,” one person wrote.
