A KwaZulu-Natal family is counting its losses after being allegedly swindled of R600 000 by former Ukhozi FM presenter Sibusiso Buthelezi.

ZiMoja reports that a family from Nquthu in KwaZulu-Natal allegedly invested in the former presenter’s Abombuso Poultry Investment Group.

FORMER UKHOZI FM PRESENTER ON THE RUN

Gcinumuzi Msibi says Buthelezi swindled his family, and he has stopped taking their calls. Buthelezi allegedly promised to settle the amount in January, but that has not been the case.

Msibi said: “We are a family of 11 people and we took all our money and invested it in his Abombuso Poultry Investment Group, hoping that we were going to be sorted for life. He failed us, and now all we want is our money back. He is now dodging us.”

The family has resorted to community group, Isikebhe, best known for assisting people in recovering their belongings. They hope the group’s help might lead to the recovery of their hard-earned money.

The group has since attempted to find common ground with the radio presenter. ZiMoja reports that a meeting was held between the Msibi and Buthelezi families.

The Buthelezi family was informed that Sibusiso was on the run after being involved in dodgy business schemes.

Against backdrop of several meetings, it has been revealed that Buthelezi reached out to his victims and promised them to pay but later posed several threats. This is not the first KwaZulu-Natal family to be allegedly scammed by Buthelezi.
