Khanyi Mbau has claimed she was struck by “some voodoo” after mysteriously going mute…
Over the weekend, the actress and socialite was promoting her new Netflix film, Happiness Ever After, a sequel to the 2016 film Happiness is a Four-letter Word.

But a bizarre thing happened when the star suddenly “lost” her voice…

Khanyi Mau took to her Instagram Stories to reveal that while she had a lot that she wanted to say at the event, she wasn’t able to speak for some reason.

She shared: “The saddest thing happened to me today. How does one lose their voice on such a huge day? I had so much to say. All I could do to express my joy was letting down tears.

“I was surrounded by such greatness and I couldn’t say a word. I guess God wanted me to serve for once and just listen, feel and take it all in!

‘Lord, please unmute me’

“Cos what i experienced today is some voodoo. Lord, please press the mute button and unmute me”.

Khanyi – who stars alongside actors Renate Stuurman and Nambitha Ben-Mazwi in the rom-com – later posted a selfie with the caption: “Silence is golden”.
