Joining the 2023 Springboks squad were former Rugby World Cup-winning captains and their Springboks team members, who made a surprise appearance on the pitch.
Francois Pienaar and John Smit – who led their teams to victory in 1995 and 2007, respectively – proudly belted out the national anthem beside Siya Kolisi.
On the sidelines were retired star players like Bobby Skinstad, Bryan Habana, and Percy Montgomery.
