Being tasked with singing the South African national anthem at a Springboks rugby match is not for the faint-hearted. But for Nosipho Silinda – a former Idols SA finalist – it was smooth sailing.
The 22-year-old star delivered a perfect performance at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday, 8 July, where the Boks clinched a victory against Australia. The match marked the kick-off of the Rugby Championship.

Wearing a bright green gown, Nosipho Silinda belted her heart out to the national anthem Nkosi Sikelel ‘iAfrika.

Needless to say, South Africans were thrilled at her performance, which went without a hitch.
