Pete Davidson has dropped out of Blue Origin’s flight to space, days before it is meant to depart.
The comedian officially pulled out of the trip, funded by billionaire businessman Jeff Bezos. This comes amid headlines the SNL star is embroiled in a messy spat with rapper Kanye West.
Pete is currently dating Kanye’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian.
In a tweet posted on Thursday evening, Blue Origin revealed their rocket New Shepard would be launching into space on 29 March, instead of the original date of 23 March.
It also revealed that Pete Davidson had dropped out of the flight.
“Pete Davidson is no longer able to join the NS-20 crew on this mission. We will announce the sixth crew member in the coming days”, read the post
It’s unknown who Pete will be replaced with on board the space shuttle
Flight NS-20 will be the New Shepard shuttle’s 20th launch of the private space company, and the fourth with human passengers.
Pete Davidson was announced as one of the six passengers, who include Party America CEO Marty Allen, philanthropist and real estate mogul Marc Hagle and his wife Sharon Hagle, University of North Carolina professor Jim Kitchen and president of Commercial Space Technologies Dr. George Nield.
Pete Davidson – who confessed to hiring extra security last year after he went official with girlfriend Kim Kardashian – has been on the receiving end of threats made by Kanye West.
