‘BODY ARMOUR FOR WOMEN’

Dressed in one of the Skims shaping bodysuits, Angelina alleges that the shapewear saved her from bleeding out and dying.

The Tik Tok user was shot four times while waiting for the American e-hailing service, Lyft on 1 January 2023.

In a video shared to Tik Tok Angelina explained that the bodysuit she was wearing was extremely tight and kept her from bleeding out.

“The night that I got shot I was wearing a SKIMS shapewear bodysuit. It was so tight on me that it literally kept me from bleeding out,” she explained in a TikTok.

Wiley then compared the shapewear to being protective armour for women.

“I recommend it. I’m definitely going to buy some more. I mean, I should wear it every day. It’s like body armour for women”, Angelina shared.

After making it’s rounds on both Twitter and Tik Tok, Kim Kardashian shared the video to her Instagram story with the caption “wowww” and the praying hands emoji.

SKIMS VALUED AT $4 BILLION

First launched in 2019, Skims was initially created as an online retailer that sold undergarments designed to fit people of all sizes of colours, but it has now evolved into an apparel line that sells a plethora of products like swimsuits, dresses, shorts, T-shirts, pyjamas, hoodies, leggings and even socks.

Just four years after it was created the apparel brand is said to be valued at $4 billion and as a result may be on the brink of going public.

According to The New York Times Skims has raised $270 million in a new funding round that values it at $4 billion, which is a massive increase from the $3.2 billion valuation that investors gave the company in 2023.
