‘I’ve got proof’: Emtee claims he has been receiving death threats
Emtee has once again revealed that his life is in danger, this time, amid his beef with fellow musician Zaddy Swag.

Mthembeni Ndevu – affectionately known as Emtee – has alleged that he has been receiving death threats.
EMTEE SAYS HE FEARS FOR HIS LIFE
In a few Twitter posts on Wednesday, 19 July, the Pearl Thusi hitmaker said that has been told that he will get killed on 9 September – which is the day of his concert, Emtee and Friends, at Zone 6 in Soweto.
“Ah. Now I’m getting death threats,” he began.

When asked where are the threats coming from, he replied: “Zaddy’s gospel singer artist called KMore or some shit like that. Told me to bring the military on 9th of September the day of the show 🤷🏽♂️ so I’m terrified].”
“They say [they are] gonna kill me at this show,” Emtee continued.
This week, the Corner Store rapper and musician Zaddy Swag – who was signed to Emtee Records – have been beefing on Twitter.

In more tweets, Emtee said he has proof and he will use it in court.
DEATH THREATS FOR THE PAST TWO YEARS
A few days after his fellow rapper Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was murdered in Durban, Emtee revealed to TshisaLIVE that he had been receiving death threats from various unknown numbers.
“They started with DJ Sumbody, now AKA. Word on the streets is that either me or {another young rapper} are next. I received a message from this mysterious figure. I blocked him first time now he’s using another number,” he was quoted as saying.
In November last year, amapiano pioneer and businessman Oupa John “DJ Sumbody” Sefoka was gunned down in Woodmead, Johannesburg.

According to Emtee, he received more threats after DJ Sumbody’s murder, adding that he has been receiving threats for the past two years.
“You think you’re smart. I won’t leave a tiny stone unturned,” read one of the text messages the art shared with the publication.
Two days after AKA’s brutal murder, Emtee took to Twitter to share that he is looking for security or body guards.
